IVF Success Rates: Conventional vs. Effortless IVF
Wondering whether conventional IVF or effortless IVF offers a better chance at conception? Here, we discuss the success rates of both methods so you can make an informed decision on your path to realizing your dream of becoming a parent.

Infertility affects up to 15% of couples trying to have a baby, and many look to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to realize their dreams of starting a family. When choosing between conventional IVF and effortless IVF techniques, couples often want to know about the success rates for each option.

At Effortless IVF in Fort Worth and Bedford, Texas, our fertility specialists, Dr. Kevin Doody and Dr. Kathleen Doody, offer the following information about conventional versus effortless IVF success rates.

Conventional IVF basics

Conventional IVF involves the use of high doses of hormone medications to stimulate the ovaries, followed by the retrieval of multiple eggs. These eggs are then fertilized in the laboratory, and the resulting embryos are cultured for a few days before being transferred to the uterus.

While conventional IVF has helped many couples achieve their dream of parenthood, it’s not without its challenges. The extensive hormonal stimulation required often leads to discomfort, side effects, and a higher risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Furthermore, conventional IVF can be time-consuming, emotionally draining, and financially burdensome for many families.

How effortless IVF works

With the effortless IVF procedure, the dosage of your medication is determined by your health, age, and weight, and we don’t make any additional adjustments during treatment. This both reduces the amount of medications you need, as well as the costs associated with them.

Effortless IVF further simplifies the IVF process with a new device called an INVOcell, which reduces the number of sonograms and monitoring appointments required. Our process uses one sonogram to determine the best date for egg retrieval. Then, the sperm and eggs are carefully placed within the INVOcell, which is then placed inside your vagina to allow the embryo time to develop. From there, the successful embryo is transferred to the uterus.

The INVOcell process allows our team to deliver IVF treatments at lower costs and in less time compared to conventional IVF, while still maintaining high success rates.

Comparing success rates between conventional and effortless IVF

IVF success rates are typically measured by the percentage of live births per embryo transfer procedure. Many factors can affect the IVF success rates, including the woman’s age and the nature of underlying infertility issues.

Women under the age of 35 have a 55.6% success rate of live births via IVF. Effortless IVF has shown promising results in clinical studies, with success rates comparable to or even better than conventional IVF methods.

Choosing the right IVF treatment is a significant decision on the path to parenthood. At Effortless IVF, we are committed to providing a patient-centered and highly effective approach to fertility treatment. By simplifying the process, reducing medication dosages, and creating fully personalized treatment plans, we aim to improve the IVF experience while optimizing success rates.
